Rejuvenation and renewal
It is so important to take time for reguvenation on a regular basis. Adding to our many tools of managing stress is key in making our lives and specifically our stresses manageable and place them in perspective in the grand scheme of things. Touching base with how we are feeling is a central element of a yoga practice in that we find ourselves through our reactions, internal murmurings, and have power to engage or change those feelings. We learn patience, and how to see beauty in slow gradual change, immediate change, “bests”, “worsts” and all the judgements we place on ourselves. I say beauty because the first step is noticing. Once observed we gain a birds-eye view of ourselves and even those inner comments that are abrasive, snappy, angry, happy, egotistical all give us a guide and a perspective that lets us choose. Sometimes that breath you take, that second to look again can be the difference between a positive outlook and a dark cloud over your head.
This space and time for breath can be hard to find in our homes where there may or may not be a lot of things you could be getting done at the moment! I sometimes feel guilty for not doing laundry all day LONG! But I digress, life is packed full and we need to find the time to take care of us. Often when we feel good our little ones do too.
